Blog Reflection 6

Lesson 1: In today's lesson me and partner discussed possible ideas for our music videos. Once we had three firm ideas we focused on producing questions for our Vox Pop. The aim was to get feedback on our audiences opinion for our artists brand and video concept.  We designed the questions in such away that it covered all key concepts and conventions of music videos.

Lesson 2: At the start of the lesson we looked at music video by SZA called 'Teen Spirit'. The video was technically very interesting, for instance, blurs were added to a shot, this disorientates the viewer and causes them to concrete even more on the video. The lighting is very dark, this sets the mood and connotes the style of music as being mysterious, this is further connoted through the lyrics - 'Don't come close' which makes the audience want to know more about her. Lastly, there are props like water guns and scooters used by the artist. This connotes how she is cool and quirky. Furthermore, the props cause the audience to reminisce and think 'Wow, I remember playing with that when I was younger', so they personally relate with the artist (U&G).

Lesson 3: In today's lesson I completed my audience research - survey, survey results & analysis and target audience profile. Click the following link to view my work -http://kalkidanbrook7.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/audience-research.html.

Lesson 4: In today's lesson me and my partner started working on our final treatment for all three of our products - music video, magazine advert and digipak. We did a lot of research and talked specially about many matters such as the artists background profile etc.
