Lesson 1: So today we spent the day filming. We focused on the performance elements which consisted of the artist walking down Grove Road - a long street. Again we experienced problems such as weather change but the biggest problem was the location itself. The street was dirty with bins interrupting our shot and rubbish all over the floor. It was not at all glamorous but instead gritty and cheap. So considering all of this, my partner and I went back and reviewed all of our footage. We took a liking to a scene that we cut out of the artist performing on a white screen, wearing a glamorous dress (Filming Day 2). It was more realistic and highlighted our artists brand. Therefore, we have reverted back to our previous idea and will re film that scene again. Click on the following link to see how third day of filming went on!
Lesson 2: In today's lesson we uploaded all the footage that we have. This took a considerable amount of time. After that we looked back at all our work and planned out what we needed to film again, so that when we came to filming we didn't waste any time. Our ideas orientated around getting a lot of shots of the artist and her partner relationship. So them walking in the park hand in hand, taking pictures, laying in bed laughing etc.
Lesson 3: We spent this lesson uploading our actual song into final cut. This was a very long process as the artist Kim King could not send us a copy and her song was not downloadable from the Internet. So we had to record it ourselves, change it into an MP3 file, download it onto iTunes (and YouTube), then finally import it on final cut.
Below is the song, Amazing by Kim King.

Lesson 4: I spent this lesson doing individual extra work as my partner was not in today.
